「DJI RS 5」は新しいRS強化型スマートトラッキングモジュールにより、ジンバルのタッチ画面上でライブ映像のフレーミングや被写体のトラッキングを行うことができる。 新モジュールでは、車やペットなど、人物以外の被写体も追跡することができる。被写体が人物の場合は、最大10メートル離れた場所からでもフォーカスを合わせ続けることができるため、混雑した環境での撮影もスムーズに行うことができる。

前モデルでも採用された被写体認識用のトラッキングモジュールが進化。「RS強化型スマートトラッキングモジュール」として、従来は「人物」に限定していた認識対象を“人物以外”にまで拡大した。ペットや車をはじめ、基本的には“なんでも”認識できるとのこと。
