Assamese cuisine Bottle gourd khar- Heat mustard oil in a pressure cooker . Add 1tbsp garlic, half tsp baking soda, 1 tbsp mustard powder and mix then add the bottle gourd followed by half cup carrot, quarter cup soaked chana dal and quarter cup moong dal then add salt and green chili. Cook for some time. Then add one cup of boiled water. cook on high Flame . Close the lid and wait for 2 whistles. At the end garnish with chopped coriander, green chili and mustard oil .
